L’histoire de la traduction chinoise de la terminologie féministe est aussi l’histoire de la réception et de l’évolution du féminisme en Chine, un processus long et complexe de localisation. Ce texte étudie principalement la traduction et la sinisation des termes anglais feminism, gender et patriarchy. During the first encounter between Chinese and Western cultures in the early 20th century, Chinese progressives and feminists brought Western feminist thinking and terminology into China. The history of the Chinese translation of feminist terminology is also the history of the reception and evolution of feminism in China as well as a long and complex process of localization.
