Ce récit a les caractéristiques du roman familial tel qu’il est défini par les psychanalystes. Cependant à la différence de l’enfant qui croit (dans une certaine mesure) aux fantasmes qu’il invente pour s’attribuer une famille fictive, les voix narratrices, dans les textes de Morante, déconstruisent le roman familial en montrant qu’il est un ‘mensonge’. D’où le rôle de l’écriture parodique dans l’œuvre de la romancière dont le ‘récit unique’ peut être rapproché du conte de Cendrillon dans la version qu’en propose le Napolitain Basile. Elsa Morante’s literary work is based on a single narrative scheme of which her novels and short stories present manifold variations. This narrative scheme has the form of a “family romance” as defined by psychoanalysts. But unlike children who somehow believe in the fictitious parental figures they invent in order to satisfy their narcissism, Morante deconstructs the “family romance” and shows that it is essentially untrue. Il montre comment l’identité des fils est inscrite dans l’histoire des pères. Il essaie de déterminer comment les fils s’affranchissent ou non des récits racontés par les générations précédentes selon qu’ils s’emparent de l’instance narratrice ou qu’ils se soumettent à elle et à la fonction qu’elle leur assigne dans l’histoire familiale. Cependant, dans les deux cas, l’identité se définit comme le rôle qui est dévolu à chacun dans le « roman des générations ». L’articolo analizza soprattutto due romanzi di Paolo Maurensig: La variante di Lüneburg e Il guardiano dei sogni. Mira a dimostrare come l’identità dei figli sia iscritta nella storia dei padri e a determinare come i figli riescano o meno a liberarsi dai racconti narrati dalle generazioni precedenti secondo che diventino i nuovi narratori della storia familiare o invece si adeguino alla funzione a loro assegnata nell’ambito del racconto fatto dai loro predecessori. Nelle due eventualità tuttavia l’identità è definita come il ruolo che spetta a ognuno nel “romanzo delle generazioni”. The author of this article analyses two novels written by Paolo Maurensig: La variante di Lüneburg e Il guardiano dei sogni. He tries to demonstrate how each generation’s identity is determined by the narratives bequeathed by each previous generation. The sons liberate themselves – or not – from the history of their fathers according to whether they succeed in being the narrators of the “family tale” or whether they accept the part imposed upon them in the narrative they inherit.
