Leur soutien enthousiaste dans les travées du stade de la Cavée verte permet au club doyen de faire son chemin en deuxième division et d’accéder à l’élite en 1938, tout en réalisant de bonnes performances en Coupe de France. Contrairement à leurs rivaux du FC Rouen, les supporters havrais entretiennent d’excellentes relations avec leurs dirigeants et les soutiennent même financièrement quand le club connaît des difficultés.
