Pour autant, si le traitement journalistique peut contribuer sous certains aspects à l’hystérisation, entendue comme spectacularisation et brutalisation du débat public, il ne saurait s’y réduire. Représenter autrement la migration ne se réduit pas à une contre-représentation idéologique des personnes dites migrantes ; c’est encore moins ajouter de la déliaison à la déliaison, c’est permettre de penser les conditions possibles d’édification d’un monde véritablement commun. By analysing how Aylan, Yaguine and Fodé ‒ three children who died on the roads to exile ‒ became media icons and the way artists reinvested their experiences, the aim of this article is to ask if artistic productions are able to replace scandal by thinking, and through what kind of poetic choices. Nevertheless, if journalistic treatment can contribute in a certain way to hysterisation, understood as the spectacularisation and brutalisation of public debate, it cannot be reduced to this.
