Pour autant, si le traitement journalistique peut contribuer sous certains aspects à l’hystérisation, entendue comme spectacularisation et brutalisation du débat public, il ne saurait s’y réduire. Représenter autrement la migration ne se réduit pas à une contre-représentation idéologique des personnes dites migrantes ; c’est encore moins ajouter de la déliaison à la déliaison, c’est permettre de penser les conditions possibles d’édification d’un monde véritablement commun. By analysing how Aylan, Yaguine and Fodé ‒ three children who died on the roads to exile ‒ became media icons and the way artists reinvested their experiences, the aim of this article is to ask if artistic productions are able to replace scandal by thinking, and through what kind of poetic choices. Nevertheless, if journalistic treatment can contribute in a certain way to hysterisation, understood as the spectacularisation and brutalisation of public debate, it cannot be reduced to this. Pour autant, un tel effort ne cesse de rencontrer l’universel sur sa route : comme puissance de mise en mouvement de la pensée, comme condition du partage de celle-ci et comme exigence pour elle de s’appuyer sur une certaine objectivité. Cet article entend établir dans quelle mesure il est possible de faire fonds sur la critique deleuzienne de l’universalisme tout en dépassant ces difficultés. À cette fin, il s’attache notamment à l’étude d’exemples issus des œuvres de Platon, cible principale de la critique deleuzienne de l’universalisme. Gilles Deleuze’s work constitutes one of the most successful attempts to think outside of universalism, in favor of a definition of philosophy as a creative effort. However, such an effort never ceases to encounter the universal on its way: as a power to set thought in motion, as a condition for sharing it and as a requirement for it to rely on a certain objectivity. This article aims to establish to what extent it is possible to build on the Deleuzian critique of universalism while overcoming these difficulties.
