L’enjeu de cette réflexion est de montrer comment ces universaux participent à repenser les faits de paroles en lien avec les faits de pensée. La métaphore développe deux types d’universaux : grammaticaux (liés à la prédication et à la modalisation) et sémantiques (relatifs à la signification et à la référenciation) lesquels contribuent à édifier une conception substantielle de la langue qui prouve que la substance n’est pas extralinguistique ; elle devient plus importante que la forme quand il s’agit d’appréhender le langage dans sa réalisation figurale. This article deals with the problem of “ language universals ˮ through the question of metaphor which is a figure of speech shared by several natural languages. The challenge of this reflection is to show how these univesals participate in rethinking the facts of words linked to the facts of thought.
