Constance Debré et Chloé Delaume font de ce sujet un axe majeur de leurs œuvres et d’une pensée tout à la fois littéraire et sociale. Elles remettent en cause le caractère structurant de la famille et du legs au sein de plusieurs œuvres autofictionnelles qui ne cessent de mêler écriture de soi et réflexions collectives. Ces réflexions s’articulent notamment autour de la question de la maternité, refusée par Chloé Delaume et déconstruite par Constance Debré, et du nom, qui inscrit le sujet au sein de la structure familiale en tant qu’héritier d’un legs non-choisi. Les deux autrices expérimentent au sein de l’espace autofictionnel la possibilité pour un sujet d’écrire le « je » contre le modèle familial et contre les déterminismes qui accompagnent la transmission du nom. L’autofiction permet à Constance de faire l’expérience de se défaire peu à peu de la famille. Pour Chloé Delaume, l’autofiction permet de démanteler « les fictions collectives », c’est-à-dire les discours et représentations liées à la perpétuation d’un certain modèle social.À travers l’étude de certaines œuvres des deux autrices, cet article se propose d’étudier les modalités d’expression d’un « je » autofictionnel qui entend se défaire de la famille. En endossant l’ethos du parrhésiaste, les deux autrices adoptent un ton volontiers polémique pour remettre en cause la pseudo-naturalité de certains comportements et des structures sociales associés au système patriarcal. Cette remise en question expose, à la fois sur la scène littéraire et médiatique, le fantasme d’un « je » auto-constitué, qui part en quête du collectif et fait de sa situation l’objet d’une lutte contre l’héritage familial. Constance Debré and Chloé Delaume make this subject a central theme in their works which brings together literature and social reflexion. They challenge the structuring role of the family and the legacy within several autofictional works that continuously blend self-writing and reflections on the collective level. These reflections notably revolve around the issue of motherhood, rejected by Chloé Delaume and deconstructed by Constance Debré, and the name, a rigid designation that places the subject within the family structure and marks them as the heir of an unchosen legacy. Both authors experiment within the autofictional space with the possibility for a subject to write the “I” against the family model and against the determinisms that come with the transmission of the name. Autofiction gives to Constance Debré the opportunity of getting rid of the family. For Chloé Delaume, autofiction allows for the dismantling of “collective fictions”, that is to say, the discourses and representations related to the perpetuation of a certain societal model.Through the study of some books of these two authors, this article aims to explore the modes of expression of an autofictional “I” that seeks to free itself from the family. By adopting the ethos of the parrhesiast (truth-teller), both authors take a deliberately polemical tone to question the pseudo-naturalness of certain behaviors and social structures associated with the patriarchal system. This questioning exposes, both on the literary and media scenes, the fantasy of an “I” self-constituted, which embarks on a quest for the collective and makes its situation the subject of a social struggle against familial inheritance.
