En particulier, l’analyse se concentre sur la reconstruction et le développement de l’identité territoriale dans la zone de Montefalco (Ombrie), avec une référence particulière à la démarche d’amélioration du vin Sagrantino. La recherche vise à souligner l’importance du chemin à la récupération de l’identité des territoires mis en œuvre par la synergie entre les acteurs publics et privés. De cette façon, l’identité, que l’on va réaliser suivant des objectifs spécifiques, devient un outil qui peut permettre de réfléchir sur les points de force et de faiblesse d’une zone de production (vinicole dans ce cas) et de favoriser le dialogue parmi les acteurs locaux dans un processus visant à définir les interventions. This paper deals with the issue of territorial identity in relation to the production of wine and proposes some indicators of identity (the border; the history and the land; the landscape; the role of local actors) in order to reflect on the relation between territorial identity and improvement of local resources. More specifically, the analysis focuses on the reconstruction and development of identity in the territory of Montefalco (Umbria), with particular reference to the process of enhancing the Sagrantino wine. The research aims to underline the importance of a shared recovery course of territorial identity implemented by the synergy between private and public actors. In this way the identity, built on account of specific objectives, becomes a instrument fit to reflect on the strengths and weaknesses of a production area (of wine, in this case) and to promote the dialogue between local actors in a process directed towards the settlement of the interventions.
