Mais il ne s’agit pas d’une simple traduction ; elle réécrit le poème, qui toutefois reste inédit jusqu'à l’édition d’Efim Etkind (1992). L’extrémisme linguistique (formel) et métrique de Marina Tsvetaeva semble imposé par l’extrémisme de son contenu : Le Gars est un poème glorifiant l’amour, la vraie passion qui ne connaît pas de limites. On analysera la langue et la versification du poème pour identifier comment, à travers ces moyens, elle parvient à exprimer ces sentiments extrêmes. In 1922 the Russian poet Marina Tsvetaeva (1892-1941) wrote the poem Molodec (The Swan), modeling it on Alexander Afanasyev’s Vampire, a kind of translation from prose to poetry. Seven years later, she undertook the translation of her poem from Russian into French: Le Gars. But it is not a mere translation; she rewrote the poem, which remained unpublished until Efim Etkind’s publication in 1992. The linguistic and metric extremism of Marina Tsvetaeva is imposed on her by the extremism of its content: Le Gars is a poem glorifying love, true passion that knows no limits.
