En saisissant la friche urbaine comme le terrain d’étude du sauvage urbain, l’analyse d’un siècle de rétablissement de l’ordre par l’urbanisme témoigne d’une catégorisation de la friche comme une figure du désordre et de l’informel. Pourtant, la friche urbaine est aussi un support pour des expériences spatiales spécifiques, puisqu’elle offre des lieux d’exploration, de cohabitation d’usages et de relation entre différentes formes du vivant. En présentant les résultats d’une enquête menée dans la banlieue nord de Paris entre 2015 et 2020, cet article propose un réenchantement du sauvage, du désordre et de l’informel en contribuant à la définition d’une poétique de l’urbanisme. The article aims to demonstrate that an ethno-geographical approach of urban wastelands can contribute to an urban planning poetic. By capturing urban wasteland as a case study of the urban wilderness, the analysis of a century of order making through urban planning shows a categorization of wasteland as a figure of disorder and informality. However, urban wasteland is also a support for specific spatial experiences, since it offers places for exploration, cohabitation of uses and relationships between different forms of living beings. Il prône un apprentissage expérientiel, fruit d’une relation sensible entre l’être, le geste, la matière et l’espace qui l’entoure. Cette action peut s’apparenter à de l’urbanisme temporaire. C’est à partir de l’observation d’un terrain sur lequel un JExp’ s’est déroulé que nous évaluerons la transformation d’un espace intermédiaire à devenir un lieu propice au sauvage et au vivant. Nous ouvrirons en conclusion sur la potentielle « mise en culture du sauvage » engagée par les « trois jardins » -Individuel, collectif et territorial- du JExp’ à destination d’un territoire pilote situé en Wallonie. In the discussion that follows, we will develop the implementation of an educational project which is now part of the intermediate landscapes on the fringes of town and questions the processes of regional development in Wallonia.The Garden of Experiences (JExp’) is an educational project in the form of a development site and temporary occupation. He advocates experiential learning, the fruit of a sensitive relationship between being, gesture, matter and the space that surrounds it. This action can be likened to temporary town planning. It is from the observation of a field on which a JExp 'took place that we will assess the transformation of an intermediate space to become a place conducive to the wild and the living.
