Il s’intéresse à la fois à l’époque de la migration et à la valorisation de la mémoire qui a eu lieu aujourd’hui. Il traite dans un premier temps de l’émigration vers le Brésil qui a eu lieu avant la Première Guerre mondiale et des multiples liens qui unissent aujourd’hui ces deux côtés de l’Atlantique. Il s’attarde ensuite sur l’émigration qui, des années 1920 aux années 1950, conduit un grand nombre de Trentins en France. Il s’agit ainsi de montrer les différences mais aussi les points communs entre ces deux émigrations hier comme aujourd’hui. This article deals with two examples of emigration from Trentino (North-East Italy) that were partially clandestine. It looks how these migrations took place as well as at how this memory creates interest nowadays. It first focuses on the migration that took place towards Brazil before World War 1 and on the several bonds that today unite these two sides of the Atlantic. After Brazil, France, the main destination for Trentini from the 1920s up to the 1950s, is the second case study.
