Lanciaux ont réalisé Les Quatre saisons de Léon, film d’animation composé de quatre parties distinctes (quatre films de 26 mn), le dernier est sorti en octobre 2012 : L’Automne de Pougne. Ils complètent ainsi une « “collection” » : L’Hiver de Léon, Le Printemps de Mélie Pain d’Epice, L’Eté de Boniface, qui met en scène Léon, le fils d’un ours et ses compagnons : une princesse (Mélie), un conteur-bonimenteur (Boniface) et le hérisson Pougne, qui tombe amoureux de Mélusine, ainsi qu’un autre camarade : l’éléphant Hannibal. L’histoire est située dans un temps ancien (Moyen-Age). Elle fait pour l’essentiel référence, comme l’a signalé A. Lanciaux dans une interview, au conte « Jean de l’ours » (AT 301B : The Strong Man and his Companions), l’un des plus connus dans maintes régions de France et dans le monde (AT 301 : The Three Stolen Princesses). On peut repérer des épisodes et des motifs, tels que la descente dans le puits. Il s’agit d’approcher le contage (en mots, écrits ou oraux, en images animées) comme art de la variation, de voir comment de nouveaux contextes et de nouveaux media opèrent. P.-L. Granjon and A. Lanciaux are the co-creators of Leon’s animated stories, an animated film, that is divided in four distinct parts or short films (26 mn), the latest released in october 2012 : Poppety in the fall. They are so completing a « collection » : Leon in Wintertime, Molly in Springtime, Bonifacio in Summertime, which features Leon, a bear’s son, and his companions : a princess (Molly), a storyteller & liar (Bonifacio) and the hedgehog Poppety, who falls in love with Melusine, and another friend : the elefant Hannibal.
