En s’intéressant aux points de contacts et de disjonction, il interroge en retour le substrat mathématique depuis ses limites. Au premier abord, la spécificité du langage mathématique telle que René Thom l’a définie, parait incompatible avec sa mise en mots, et c’est la possibilité même d’entrelacer science exacte et fiction qui est remise en question. Cet article cherche donc à dépasser la construction d’un spécialisé qui serait purement discursif, pour envisager la mise en fiction comme moyen d’accès à un spécialisé multimodal, à la fois discursif, structurel et visuel. This paper explores the waltz of scientific discourse and fiction and focuses on the deviations and divergences, as well as on the semiotic hybridity this lacing generates when fiction takes in mathematics as its material. By focusing on the intersections and disjunctions, this article positions itself at the limits of mathematical language so as to question its mathematical core. The specificity of mathematical language as defined by René Thom seems at first incompatible with its verbal rendering, and it is the very possibility of weaving fiction with an exact science that is questioned.
