Dans une approche transdisciplinaire qui mêle considérations matérielles, techniques, esthétiques, psychologiques, philosophiques et idéologiques, les contributions s’articulent autour d’une double problématique. D’une part, elles analysent la mise en scène de l’invisible et des invisibles en tant que geste créatif, c’est-à-dire les stratégies et dispositifs employés par les artistes, et ce que ces choix esthétiques supposent comme positionnements éthiques. De l’autre, elles se penchent sur les représentations de l’invisible et des invisibles pour analyser le regard porté par les arts et le cinéma sur les figures du non-vu, de l’imperceptible ou de l’« immontrable » (Becker 2021), en interrogeant ces formes artistiques qui louvoient entre régime de visibilité et d’invisibilité pour mettre en lumière ou laisser dans l’ombre ce que l’on ne souhaite pas dévoiler et/ou ceux/celles que l’on ne veut généralement pas voir. This issue invites reflection on representations of the invisible in all forms of primarily visual arts and cinema. Adopting a transdisciplinary approach that combines material, technical, aesthetic, psychological, philosophical, and ideological considerations, the contributions centre on two main questions. On the one hand, they analyse the rendering of the invisible as a creative gesture, i.e. the strategies and devices used by artists, and what these aesthetic choices imply in terms of ethical positioning.
