Der Artikel untersucht die Konnotationen, die diese Verweise hervorrufen, insbesondere in Bezug auf die Verbindung zwischen Shoah und europäischer Kultur, sowie auf die Funktion der Erinnerung an die Shoah, die Celans Gedicht sich zu eigen macht. The essay focuses on those elements in “Todesfuge” by Paul Celan that can be associated with dance and death, analyzing the close interconnection between them. This link refers chiefly to the tradition of the Totentanz or Dance of Death in European cultural history as well as to the nazi practice of the Todestango or Death Tango. Moreover, the paper explores the connotations evoked by these references, particularly regarding the link between Shoah and European culture as well as the task of perpetuating of the memory Shoah memory that Celan’s poem makes its own. L’étude se focalise sur les éléments liés à la danse et à la mort dans « Todesfuge » de Paul Celan et analyse le rapport étroit qui les unit. Ce rapport renvoie notamment à la tradition de la danse macabre dans l’histoire culturelle européenne ainsi qu’à la pratique nazie du Todestango ou Tango de la mort.
