À travers ce texte, témoignage d’un acte artistique des années 1970, Nancy Holt révèle une approche singulière de l’art liée aux nouvelles conceptions esthétiques du paysage, et propose une nouvelle identification à l’artiste femme en quête d’autres territoires. In April, 1977, the American artist Nancy Holt published an article in Artforum magazine in which she revealed the various stages of elaboration of her work Sun Tunnels (1973-1976), symbolic Land art sculpture, which she made near Lucin in the Great Salt Desert, Utah. Through this text, the testimony of an artistic act of the 1970s, she reveals a singular approach of art linked to the new aesthetic conceptions of the landscape, and offers a new identification to women artists in search of other territories.
