Editorial board

The editorial board’s role is to manage the editorial flow of the journal (submission, assessment, publication). The two directors and the editor in chief are responsible for appointing 2 anonymous experts, one from the editorial board and the other from the international scientific board. They also ensure that authors who have been approved by the experts submit their articles in strict compliance with the journal’s guidelines. The editor in chief is also responsible for distributing the reports. The editor prepares the texts for print and digital publication and corresponds with the authors during the first and second proofs.

Editorial committee

The editorial board meets at least once a year, but exchanges with individual members may be more frequent depending on the expertise needed. In addition to the anonymous expert reviews carried out by its members, depending on their speciality, this committee is responsible for finding articles to submit to the journal and proposing the publication of study days or symposia that may give rise to dossiers. Members of the editorial board are responsible for book reviews received by the journal.

International scientific board

The international scientific board is made up of specialists from every continent. To date, it has only met occasionally, due to geographical distance. It serves as a breeding ground for the second anonymous expert opinion. Its members are responsible for finding articles to submit to the journal and for ensuring HiMA’s international reputation.
